A free annual celebration of Bath’s special World Heritage Site status – a great opportunity to discover more about Bath’s heritage.
No. 1’s costumed interpreters will give regular talks and handling sessions inside the house. On the lawn outside No. 1 astronomers from the Herschel Museum of Astronomy will give visitors a chance to use a solar telescope. Fun family activities with a space theme will also be available, plus the chance to dress up as William and Caroline Herschel, the famous Georgian astronomers. The Mayor of Bath’s Honorary Guides will be leading regular guided tours along the Royal Crescent throughout the day. The Ermine Street Guard will set up a Roman camp on the lawn.
