Join us for an atmospheric evening (or two) when the house will be dressed for a Georgian Christmas, and join in various activities related to the festive period as it would have been celebrated 250 years ago.
6pm – 10pm (last entry 9:00pm)
Friday 30 November and Saturday 1 December – Get in the Christmas spirit
Create your own eighteenth century Christmas decorations and preview the house dressed for Christmas.
Friday 7 and Saturday 8 December – The role of women in this year of commemorating 100 years of women’s suffrage
Our 2018 exhibition includes a 10minute film where two actresses representing heroines of their day (100 years ago and 250 years ago) share an animated discussion across time with shared issues of equality, struggle, resolve and fortitude. Watch them perform the play again ‘live’ and let’s see if our Georgian ancestors did indeed start the journey towards emancipation which continues today with the work of women in Bath Preservation Trust. Performances are at 6:45pm and 8:15pm.
AND, watch a puppet show depicting the role of an eighteenth century housekeeper!
Friday 14 and Saturday 15 December – Christmas Scavenger Hunt
Test your detective skills and explore No.1 Royal Crescent and its surroundings. Working as team, crack each code to gain points and win the treasure!
Watch out for Mr Sandford & Lady Delany who may help or hinder you on your mission! Unlock incredible stories and facts about life in Georgian Bath and test your mental and physical skills along the way!
Friday 21 and Saturday 22 December – The Christmas Spirit
