In partnership with the Jane Austen Festival, come and hear Museum Manager Lizzie Johansson-Hartley talk about Regency kitchens and cooking in England at the time Jane Austen lived here in Bath.
Food was at the very heart of society in Jane Austen’s England. Through this talk and tour, delve into how the Georgians prepared and cooked their food – see the leaps forward in the technology and gadgets that were available and explore how Jane Austen may have prepared a meal for her family…
Lizzie will then give a guided tour of our original kitchen, showing the implements and equipment used, the style of menus and life of the Regency cook.
Do come in your Regency costume if you can!
Tickets can be bought online in advance from the Bath Box Office or there will be limited availability at the desk at No. 1 Royal Crescent on the day.
