Bring your KS3, GCSE and A-level students to No.1 Royal Crescent to bring their studies to life. Our workshops at this level immerse students in Georgian life to add context, detail and hands-on experience to their literature, history or costume studies.
All of our workshops at this level last 2 hours and include a self-guided tour of all the 10 rooms in the house. The cost is £6 per student (adults free). Each workshop focuses on a different aspect of Georgian life but we are always happy to discuss creating a bespoke workshop to meet your exact requirements.
Fashion and Etiquette in Jane Austen’s Bath (KS3, KS4 and A-level) – Step into Jane Austen’s world and find out all about Bath society and the rules of social etiquette and beauty that existed. Experience Georgian and Regency costumes and come to appreciate the importance of maintaining a fashionable appearance for social success.
Gossip and Print (KS3 and KS4 only) – In the Georgian period, there were many ways to share information such as journals and pamphlets. In role as editors find the fascinating examples located around the house and list them in your own historical journal using quill, ink & sealing wax.
