Experience the magical atmosphere of No.1 Royal Crescent after-hours
On the Third Thursday of every month starting June 2024 we will be hosting a special late opening at No.1 Royal Crescent! Wander around the twilit museum and take in the story of the house from a fresh perspective.
With standard admission to the museum (£15.50 per person, or free for children), you will enjoy after-hours access to the museum’s current exhibition.

Alcoholic and soft-drink refreshments will be available for purchase throughout the evening, and our on-site gift shop –recently short-listed for the Museums + Heritage Awards – will be open for your perusal.
Booking in advance is recommended but walk-up tickets may be available.
In July you’ll be able to sample some fabulous Georgian icecream – made to a traditional recipe! Ice-cream parlours were popular in the 18th century. Which flavour will you choose? The Natural Theatre Company will also be in attendance, bringing gossip and intrigue to No.1 from the original backstairs staff!
In August psychic illusionist Ross Hedley will be in attendance offering Georgian card games and mind reading feats.
In September our late night opening will feature a special Jane Austen themed self-led immersive tour, in conjunction with the Jane Austen Festival.
Museum Late Opening Dates and Times
- Third Thursday of every month (June – October 2024) – Jun 20th, Jul 18th, Aug 15th, Sept 19th and Oct 17th.
- Open from 6pm – 9pm (last admission 8pm with our shop and bar closing at 8.30pm)
