There are lots of opportunities for family learning at No.1 Royal Crescent. Children can collect a learning backpack free from the ticket desk and can use the range of equipment inside to look, listen, measure and even smell their way around the house. Choose the quiz sheet for 4-7 year olds or 7-12 year olds and don’t forget to return to the ticket desk at the end of your visit to be rewarded with a ‘I am a No.1 History Detective’ sticker.
We also have a wide range of 18th century style costumes for you to try on in the Servant’s Hall (near the end of the visitor route). See how you look as a Georgian lady or gentleman and browse our range of children’s books to find out more about life in Georgian times. Or come and try out the games and toys that Georgian children enjoyed.
During school holidays we usually have additional drop in activities or family workshops where you can try your hand at activities ranging from self portraits to hat making – check our what’s on page for details.
