Your Chance to Join The No.1 Fan Club… enjoy unique benefits and help No.1 Royal Crescent and The Whole Story Appeal
Bath Preservation Trust has established The No.1 Fan Club to enable individuals (and couples) to make their own contributions to the Trust’s £5 million capital project appeal, The Whole Story.
The Whole Story project has given No.1 Royal Crescent, the 18th century town house museum, a much-needed “face lift”, created a dedicated education centre there and restored its service wing with the original kitchen. It has also doubled the number of rooms on show from five to 10, provided improved access for the disabled and conserved the fabric and the collection, amongst other benefits. So far, over £4 million has been raised towards the fundraising target.
You can contribute to The Whole Story appeal and assist the Trust to reach its fundraising target by joining The No.1 Fan Club, specially designed to enable existing Trust members and other individuals (and couples) to give easy-to-pay donations (minimum £50 per month) over two years.
By joining The No.1 Fan Club, you not only ensure this world famous museum continues to thrill and educate over 50,000 visitors annually, you enjoy unique benefits over two years. They include:
• Bath Preservation Trust membership for up to two, including free entrance to No.1 Royal Crescent and other Trust museums
• an annual champagne reception to thank you for your support
• a yearly lecture by a specialist speaker on a subject related to No. 1 and the 18th century
• special six monthly project progress reports
• No.1 Fan Club lapel pin
• recognition in The No.1 Fan Club section of the Trust’s Annual Review and the Club’s website page.
Furthermore, your support, as a No.1 Fan Club member, will fund a key part of The Whole Story project totalling £200,000, including:
• sympathetically conserving No.1’s historic paintings, prints, rugs, chandelier, etc.
• acquiring further necessary furnishings of the period
• dressing the interior with items that tell each room’s story through artful detail, including replica Georgian newspapers and kitchen paraphernalia.
And you can make your contribution go further with Gift Aid. For example, a basic rate tax payer donating a minimum of £50 per month, can increase their donation to £62.50 per month since we can reclaim .25 pence per £1 from the government. A higher rate tax payer donating a similar monthly amount can contribute even more through Gift Aid.
